Vaidehi's India
TRAVEL INDIA WITH
Personally bringing you a rich experience of India
Who am I?
After many years of travelling to India, as a child, a mother of young children, who are now teenagers, and with friends, I have a strong knowledge of India, how it works, and how to best enjoy it, its culture, and its people.

My aim is to share the India that I've seen and experienced over the last few decades. The culture, cuisine, the architecture, mythology, history, art and stories. My experience travelling with small and large groups across various parts of India, combined with my language skills (Tamil and Hindi), and a vast network of friends and contacts across India will mean that you too, travelling with me, will have access to that.
How do my trips differ from other tours to India?
Well, for one there will only be 8-10 of us. So they are quite exclusive. The tours will be for 21 days and will only cover a single region of India so you really get to know it. This is to allow us to explore that region and its culture and history in a leisurely yet in-depth way. Leisurely because every other day you will be given the freedom to do your own thing.

One day I'll take you around on a day trip to a temple, maybe a bazaar, a church or a fort. I've found that most things in India aren't a simple in and out - and it has proven to be ambitious to do more than one thing a day. This allows everyone to hear the stories associated with the site, wander around together, and apart, and really absorb it. On the alternate or non-organised day (not to be confused with disorganised!) you will have the option of relaxing at the hotel/resort, or going on your own adventure with a trusted auto rickshaw. Or you could join me on a short excursion if you're feeling up for it.

In Tamil Nadu I'm partnering with a company called Story Trails who are a similarly minded group of storytellers who want to share their India - its stories, legends, and history.

I will make sure we are staying at lovely resorts and hotels - where not only are the rooms spacious, clean, and beautiful, but there are other services on offer that can be accessed on those 'do your own thing' days. It gives you the chance to just decompress or process the richness and complexity that is India. I will take you to restaurants and eateries where we will try various versions of the local cuisine, maybe even get a chance to cook it if you're interested.
